Terms of Service

Welcome to The Server’s Collective.

These Terms of Service govern your use of our website, inquiry forms, communications, SMS messaging program, and event staffing services.

By using our website, submitting an inquiry form, requesting a quote, booking services, opting in to text message communications, or communicating with The Server’s Collective, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Our services may include servers, bartenders, bussers, hosts, hostesses, event support staff, setup assistance, teardown assistance, and other event related staffing support.

2. Service Requests and Bookings

Submitting an inquiry form or requesting a quote does not guarantee staff availability or confirm a booking.

A booking is only considered confirmed once The Server’s Collective has accepted the event, confirmed staff availability, and any required deposit, agreement, or payment has been completed.

The Server’s Collective reserves the right to decline any event request at our discretion.

3. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing complete and accurate event details, including:

Special instructions or restrictions

The Server’s Collective is not responsible for issues caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or late information provided by the client.

4. Quotes, Pricing, and Payment

Quotes are based on the information provided by the client at the time of inquiry.

Pricing may change if event details change, including staff count, event duration, event location, scope of work, travel requirements, commute requirements, or additional service requests.

Deposits, balances, payment timelines, and cancellation terms may be outlined in a separate invoice, service agreement, or written communication.

Failure to complete required payment by the stated deadline may result in cancellation of services.

5. Event Changes

Clients must notify The Server’s Collective as soon as possible if there are changes to the event date, time, address, staff count, guest count, or requested services.

The Server’s Collective will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes, but all changes are subject to staff availability.

Event changes may result in additional fees.

6. Cancellations

Cancellation terms may be outlined in a separate service agreement, invoice, or written communication.

The Server’s Collective reserves the right to cancel or refuse service if required information is not provided, payment is not completed, staff safety is at risk, or the requested service falls outside the scope of what we provide.

The Server’s Collective may also cancel or refuse service if the client, guests, venue, or event conditions create an unsafe, inappropriate, or unreasonable working environment.

7. Staff Safety and Conduct

Clients are expected to provide a safe, respectful, and appropriate working environment for all staff.

The Server’s Collective may remove staff from an event or cancel service if staff experience harassment, abusive behaviour, unsafe conditions, illegal activity, discrimination, intoxication related safety concerns, or unreasonable working conditions.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that guests, vendors, and venue representatives treat staff respectfully.

8. Alcohol Service

Where bartending or alcohol service is requested, the client is responsible for ensuring the event complies with applicable alcohol laws, permit requirements, venue rules, and guest safety obligations.

The Server’s Collective and its staff reserve the right to refuse alcohol service where required by law, safety concerns, intoxication concerns, age verification concerns, venue rules, or staff discretion.

The client is responsible for providing any alcohol, permits, bar supplies, glassware, mixers, garnishes, ice, and other required bar materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9. Event Location, Parking, and Access

Clients are responsible for providing accurate event address details, parking instructions, access instructions, gate codes, loading instructions, and any other information required for staff to arrive and begin work on time.

If staff are delayed due to missing, inaccurate, or incomplete instructions, the client may still be billed from the scheduled start time.

Additional fees may apply for parking, extended travel, commute time, or location related requirements where applicable.

10. Service Limitations

The Server’s Collective provides event staffing support only.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, The Server’s Collective is not responsible for event planning, catering, food preparation, alcohol purchasing, venue management, rentals, equipment, permits, security, cleaning services, or third party vendor performance.
